Writing a dissertation is a demanding task nevertheless, a lot of students fall at the very last hurdle: submitting it physically. In 2025, almost 40% of all submitted papers were either partially rejected or completely turned down, not because of their content but because of such technical problems as, for example, poor gutter margins or fonts that are not embedded, which only become visible when the dissertation binding.
