Yeh this is the biggest problem I have with Kickstarted games. If you miss one, your kinda screwed. I love everything KS has allowed us to get gamewise... KDM, Gloomhaven, 7th Continent, etc etc etc. But if your not following KS constantly, which is my issue...I will just stop for a while, randomly and forget.. then BAM you miss out. I hope the hype and game lends itself to a 3rd KS down the line or maybe like Gloomhavne a retail release. I would be willing to pay 10-15% MSRP for "hotness" but even being lucky enough to afford those crazy prices, I refuse to feed the "buy KS game, sell later for 100% markup mentality". I'd rather give the designers the extra money, not some reseller.
